Lawnmower blenny not eatting

Recently moved em to QT with a few other fish in a 20 gallon and isn't eatting any food. I tried nori. Seaweed pellets,mysis. He would just eat the algae off the rocks in my display but now I QT and treating for ich ( had an out breaking in display) any other ideas to feed him what? I dont want to see him die but I think he might if he keeps this up since he has thinned out.

I read a thread a while back where someone was in a similar situation. They ended up taking nori, rubber banding it to a piece of pvc, getting it wet, then dry out. So basically dried it onto the pvc pipe, simulating algae on rocks. His blenny then started eating that.

What kind of Seaweed pellets? If it wasnt Hikari Seaweed Extreme, I suggest you give it a shot. Never met a blenny that didn't love this stuff.

I just checked and it is not! Do they have them at petco?

Make sure you get the sinking pellet version, not floating. Not sure about Petco, it's in their system but prob varies by store. I used Amazon.

My LMB would not eat in QT for 2 weeks. I ended up making a thick spirulina paste and used a syringe to shoot it in front of him. He ate it, and then started eating the hikari seaweed extreme pellets like crazy.

Now he is in DT and is super fat!

Yea I'm pretty worried right now. Trying to find someone in the area that has them either to sell or just get some from a local reefer to try to give some and if he eats it to buy it

Lots of other fish will eat Seaweed extreme too so it wouldn't go to waste. My clowns, gobies and firefish love the stuff too.

Not to interested in it yet it appears. but I did walk away for a few minutes and it is gone. So not sure if he snagged it up or the other govones ate it. Should I try again or wait till the morning when feeding tends to happen?

If it was me, I'd try again. They dont dissolve in the water quickly so if they are gone, something ate them.

That's what they do - they pick off rocks and glass. The algae wafers pictured is one of the few items they will eat.
