My tank is finally starting to get some nice algae growth and I'd like to add a lawnmower blenny.

My QT/hospital tank only has some PVC pipe in it. Do I need to add a sand bowl for the blenny? Will he be ok just eating dried algae from a clip and some occasional red algae added in?

No problems treating them with Prazipro and coppersafe, right?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh lawnmower blenny?!?!? Not a Starry Blenny?!??! I am telling a certain lil' someone on YOU!!!!!:p

Do Starry Blenny's chew through the algae like a lawnmower does?

Not on a Starry Blenny!

I may have to hold off until the LFS gets one in!

good advice above. :) Prazi and coppersafe are good. It's safest to do them separately. He will be fine in the QT. He might hide a bit more than normal but that's fine. Just don't put too much algae on the clip at one time. It breaks down quickly and can foul the water, so go with little bits at a time.

Thank you Melypr. It seems like no matter how much I study I keep missing vital pieces to the puzzle. So much to learn but I appreciate all of the help!

It's a lot to learn, that's for sure. ;) You'll get it... takes practice.
