Hi, I have had my lawnmower blenny for about 3 weeks. Hes been great eating algae, and Ive been giving him sinking pellets. Yesterday I noticed he didnt move much, and today he is just on the sand bed not moving, breathing fast, looks skinny, and has darkened in color. Im convinced hes dying. Any suggestions on whats wrong. Heres a before and after of him

He looks thin in the first photo and very malnourished in the second. What pellets are you feeding it? The pellets may not be the proper diet for your blenny or it may have internal parasites. If you have any rocks with algae on them in the sump, put them in the tank for it to eat. Otherwise wrap some nori algae around a small rock and feed it toot. It would also me a good idea to soak the seaweed in vitamins. You need to act ASAP if it is going to survive. You can get Nori at most grocery stores, especially Asian ones. Just get plain nori. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice, I brought him back to the store I got him at and they think he may of had internal fungus or parasites ( he did pass away). I feed him daily what the local fish store said to give him, but he was still malnourished. If i choose to get another one Ill definitely switch to nori.
