Lawnmower blenny too skinny ?

I noticed 2 days ago that my lawnmower blenny is quite thin. I think My lawnmower is actually too thin, i am Worried.
He usually swims rock to rock and nips at the hair algae. He doesn’t pay attention to the seaweed on the clips.

I swear he is like a license card thin.
Am i being Paranoid ?

He does look quite thin. The first one I had was such a pig his belly was always quite fat. He died a mysterious death (seriously I think from overeating). I have a new one that has no where near the same appetite and I’m beginning to get worried as well. Yours is the thinnest I’ve ever seen. Did you get him that way?

Have you tried feeding it with Veggie wafers? Something like this:

Also, have a go at rubber-banding the nori to a rock, rather than just hanging it on a clip. That may better simulate his normal feeding routine.

No he was fine when i got him. My 40 gallon tank was full of hair algae and he loved it. But he ate a majority of it and he is starving now i believe. He does peck at the rocks and glass but it might not be enough algae. I’ve been trying to leave the light on longer to grow algae , and i just Rubberbanded seaweed and algae wafer on a rock

I'm sort of on the same boat but mine's thickening up. I started cycling turbo snails in my sump so they have like a farm on their shell and my blenny snacks on them. But it's just not fast enough. Everyone says Nori works and some pellets may work too

These fish are kind of funny, some eat like pigs and some just never start to eat. I had one that was the latter and eventually died. I hope you can get him eating, not much you can do other than try different foods.

So i tried Rubber banding nori and nothing . And not interested with the algae wafers. I honestly don’t know what to do to.

Do you know anyone local to yo who could let you have bits of rubble with gha on.

I have one and he will eat New Life Spectrum pellets when I feed the fish, so maybe something to try.. I’ve had him over a year and he’s pretty fat.

try some fresh spinach on a rock.sometimes it works and it won't turn to mush as fast as nori and float around the tank

I also have a lawnmower blenny that was doing great in my 75 gallon. I swear there is enough for him to eat but I moved him to my smaller tank in case he was being bullied by my arc-eye (*******) and am offering him nori in all sorts of places, plus waffers. I hope he starts to eat again, he was one of my favorites and one of my first fish I got for my tank!

Ive had that happen to me. Theres not enough algae in the tank to keep his fast metabolism going. move to a bigger tank or feed algae sheets.
