Hey all my lawnmower blenny seems off. And his lip looks swollen. All the other tank mates are fine.
1 blue tang 2 mocha storm clowns 2 yellow wrasse 1 fire fish 1 coral beauty. Only thing I can think of is one of my 12 hermit crabs got to him. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Have you recently started anything new in your tank, like dosing ? Water parameters normal??
No nothing at all he’s fairly new as well. I kept my eye on him at the lfs for about a week beforehand. Parameters are
Salinity 1.025
Temp 78
Nitrates 10ppm
Ammonia 0

He is breathing too quickly, and with an open mouth. Could be gill parasites, but to treat that, you would need to move it to a treatment tank, and then, your other fish may have been exposed and just aren't showing symptoms yet....sorry!

Thank you jay, I did notice my cleaner shrimp tried to jump in his gills think your right on the money. What’s the proper medication for those parasites?

I would give the fish a 5 minute FW dip and move it to a treatment tank. At that point, I would treat with copper for two weeks and then praziquantel 3x a week apart. This shotgun approach is needed since the fish is only showing rapid breathing and no secondary symptom that would pinpoint the two main possibilities: gill flukes or velvet.
