I have this lawnmower Blenny who seems to be breathing a little too fast but I wanted to get more opinions on it

I timed it out at 96 gill beats per minute. That isn't too high unless the fish has been sitting still for a long time when the video was taken. Warmer water also elevates a fish's respiration rate. 150 bpm is definitely too fast for this species and 125 would start me worrying.

Any other symptoms?

My LM blenny breaths quickly as well, but he is a fat happy fish. It looks like he never catches his breath, but he is completely fine. I can’t see the video but just on what I have read it seems normal.

Curious - how do you see the video?

Very normal breathing rate. Fish looks good and dood body proportion. Be sure to furnish proper diet.
Its a misconception that these are algae eaters. While they eat algae and need such in their diet, They need calcium which is why they spend a portion of their day pounding and gnawing on coral rock and also meats such as Mysis shrimp, brine, krill and plankton

Differential respiration rate can be a clue - measure the rate daily, and if it shows a consistent rise, then there is some issue.

How do I measure it
I take a video of the fish, then play the video, counting the gill beats. The trouble is, fish usually don't hold still for a full 60 seconds. So, If I count, say 10 gill beats in a 15 second video, that works out to be 40 beats per minute. I cross multiply: 10/15 = x/60 10*60 = 600, 15 * x -= 15x. 600/15 = 40.

What does this mean?
i HAVE A NEW COMPUTER and it has many tools and features and you dont want to know the speed/specs as it is beyond crazy.
For movies and video, it has a tool call decoder which plays all formats and I dont have to choose from a list like my old unit which gave me MS and Adobe which didn't even work

I think I’m wrong but I tried this and got like 102. Could you help me out with one more analysis. @Jay Hemdal

Yes, I'm getting about 100 bpm also. The fish sitting in the air bubbles can be a sign of gill problems. Like I said, there are so many variables to fish breathing rates, you need to look for changes. If it is breathing faster than before, that is a sign of an issue.....
