See attached pic - really the only excess algae I seem to have is on my power heads. Don't know if it's because snails can't get to it or what? Should I consider a lawnmower Blennie or just wipe it off with a rag? Thoughts? Suggestions? This is in a IM Nuvo 20.

Thanks Team!

That's a lot of algae. Pull the pump out and clean it. It could probably use a vinegar soak as well.

Yeh! I would definitely clean the power head. Lawnmower blennies are pretty hit or miss from what I've read. I keep a couple of extra power heads so I can swap them out and clean them with vinigar without worrying about having them out of the tank for too long.

Agree with everybody above, lawnmower blennies and ctenochaetus tangs usually don’t eat the hairy stuff because of their dentition(teeth), they have comb like teeth, gets stuck in them

You are going to put that clean pump back in there and be amazed at how much flow you were missing.
