I recently got an order from LA with a firefish, lawnmower blenny, and two yellow watchman gobies. The gobies were both DOA, and I had a mess due to the low salinity the fish were shipped in. Anyway, the firefish and LMB eventually did fine so I got my replacement YWGs, but got them to ship from ORA. I received yesterday and added to the QT with the other two fish. I caught the LMB chasing the gobies but decided to wait it out. This morning, one goby is dead, and I'm seeing the LMB chasing the other goby. I have no way to create a second QT so my options are: 1) Punt quarantine and put the goby in the DT, 2) Punt quarantine and put the LMB in the DT, 3) Let it ride and whatever happens, happens.

I'm trying to be diligent with medicated quarantines (medication hasn't started with these fish yet), but admittedly, I'm only dipping corals because I have no way to quarantine them. All that is in the display now is two small Ocellaris clownfish, clean-up crew, and some corals. Recommendations?

How many gallons is the QT? You could get a divider or make your own with egg crate and mesh. Although if he's being a bully already then the behavior is likely to carry over to the DT as well.

Maybe egg crate, or something else to split the QT tank in half?

It is like 17 gallons (Sterilite tote), but I have 10 gallons of water. I'm less worried about the DT as it is 6'x2'x19", and has a lot of rock and has 1"-2" of sand. I don't have a divider or a quick way to create one.

Ok... I realized my father-in-law might still have the netting from the screens he made me for the display. I called him, and he still has so I'm going to get that and see if I can rig something, holding in place with the points on the heater protector on one side, and propping up with pvc elbows (I have 4 in the tank). The lid might help hold in place as might a couple of seaweed clips. The problem is it potentially falling every time I open the lid, and eliminating all holes to pass through.

After concocting something that might work, the goby "gave up the ghost" pretty much as I netted him to put him behind the netting. I might try again with larger YWGs, having them only in the QT. The original DOAs were larger (one as big or bigger than the LMB). However, the replacement ORAs were quite small.
