So a fellow reefer let me barrow his lazer to kill aptasia which was awesome, but will this lazer kill bubble algae. I have heard that it incinerates the bubble before it can be popped. Thought??

Yes! These lasers are amazing! They should take care of bubble algae and really anything else. That's horrible that you have bubble...

Tried that didn't work. What I have been trying on bubble algae is using Fauna Marin Aqua scapefix to cover the bubble algae then wait 2 weeks and the algae is dead.

I look at my tank everyday checking for aptasia and bubble algae. You must be watchful everyday to get it out of your system. I have the laser didn't work well. Ended up using joe's juice. http://aquarium.bulkreefsupply.com/...&method=and&view=grid&af=cat1:saltmaintenance

hmm ok thanks guys, I think I am going have to wait till the bubbles are big then try to pry them off.

Re: lazer for aptasia - not a good idea. The reason, aptasia is basically an anemone and as any anemone when irritated it splits and has more anemones. In the case of aptasia they have MANY babies and your problem doubles and triples. Ask me how I know? I found (so far filefish and peppermint shrimp "seem" to work. I haven't tried a copperband butterfly yet because I don't want the headache of hoping it will eat anything.
The only good thing I've found for a lazer is for an aggressive fish. In my case it was a 6 line wrasse who started nipping at all fish and corals - one small zap and guess who is a model citizen. Before anyone flames me, the wrasse is super fast and I only tagged it from behind.
