I have had a pair of clowns for going on three weeks now. They like to stay on one side of my 30 gallon and sometimes venture over to the opposite side. I noticed today the Longfin Mocha was resting on the sand bed. I turned off the return and powerheads and she came to the top ready to eat - I did a small feeding and she ate without any issues. I don't see any signs of a problem on her body and she is not rapidly breathing. The male is also not showing any signs of issues.

I am just not sure if I should be worried or try to catch something early since she was just resting on the sand bed. I want to write it off as she was just tired and wanted to relax somewhere but wanted to get some other thoughts as well.

I'd say if there's no sign of illness and they're eating and swimming normally, and your parameters are all in check -- it's just clowns being goofy. They do weird things.

prob just clowns being clowns lol

My black clown sleeps on her side at the surface of the water in the corner. Just hovers in one spot…parallel to the water surface. Clowns are weird. o_O

Thank you for the feedback. I also added a video to the post now to review if that is helpful.

All parameters are good. Immediately tested Ammonia and it was reading 0.

Pretty funny to be in a hobby where the legitimate consensus is, "they're weird."

That's why there are no professional fish vets....
Vet: "yes ma'am, that will be $150 for an office visit and diagnosis. He's just weird."
Customer: what the heck?

Im going to stick with she is just lazy. I think it may also be her long fins - she just gets tired because she has more fins than the species is normally using. But it is good to see that multiple people don't believe she is sick - I had the hospital tank ready but was really hoping I didnt need it.
