First; welcome to R2R! Glad you found us; looking forward to talking all things reefing with you!

I've never used one of those specifically, but they seem to have a pretty good lip around the top edge - which should reduce any serious bowing in most cases. This will depend upon the size of the tank, however...
Did you have a specific size in mind?

I used to use a plastic thing similar to this but I’m not sure how strong this is compared to what I had. This might be stronger but it would bow a ton. I had to lean it against a wall and put a saltbucket to keep it from bowing. I was using it as a QT. Ended up finding a free 55 gal tank on Craigslist I use that instead. I don’t trust plastic when it comes to holding water.

How much water are you trying to hold? The more the water the more likely it’s going to bow

Yeah the 60-90 gallon range.

Not sure; like half full or 3/4. I was worried about that. Most likely it's LLDE given the price; they have polypropylene but that raises cost significantly.

Honestly, these really perk my interest.

They look much more sturdy but it says $500 for 150 gallons. Not sure how much it will be for smaller. I have a 125 gal tank and have a 45 gal sump but that’s cause I had a spare tank laying around. If your gonna spend $500 then I would just go with a premade sump that’s for all the chambers. Plus with these plastic and firberglass buckts it could bow and you want to have different chambers when making a sump imo that is. I have 3 chambers in mine. You can’t add chambers if it’s got a chance of bowing

True; but I'm looking for capacity not fanciness. And most sumps cost more than that similar or smaller sizes.
