I am away from home quite often for work which leaves my wife responsible for keeping the top off topped off. It has recently come to light that she hates doing it... this is my attempt at a fix :) old container was a five gallon jug that would last as many days. This guy is 14 gallons (probably closer to 12 when you take the placement of the fittings into account). Should keep water for all but the longest trips!

Looks good, dark color container limits algae growth. Are you going to use a pump or gravity feed the system.
Thank you! It's going to be a gravity fed system. I am still looking for a small cabinet to house it (probably going to have to just build on) seeing as the tank is in my dining room and the wife isn't a huge fan of it being out for all to see. My only worry with this is the now very real possibility of flooding the tank/sump if something ends up sticking. I'm going to try to get around this by adding an inline float valve placed in the sump a few inches higher than the ATO float as an emergency shutoff.
