If i have a slow drip coming from a bulk head do you think it will seal on its own? I have tried everything. The only thing I can think of is when I put saltwater in it will seal on its own. What do you guys think?

If the tank is not completely setup yet just change it and save yourself a lot of hassle down the road.

If possible try to super glue the inside to slow down the water from seeping into the hole. Then you can use pexiglass glue to melt the bulk head and seal up the hole. If not possible, just keep superglueing.

i would try a different bulkhead. Should just have the gasket on the wet side, then tighten the nut on the dry side and have a perfect seal.

Read the Bulkhead Tips sticky at the top of this forum, I give many tips there.
The suggestions so far have all been a little off base or incorrect. Do it right the first time and you should not have any troubles, bulkheads seal for years and years if just a few minutes is taken to make it right during installation.

I wouldn't count on it sealing on it's own. It's possible that it has been over-tightened, causing the gasket to bucket a bit. You want to hand tighten the bulkhead, then give it a quarter turn with a wrench and that's it. It should seal just fine without vasoline, glue, silicon, or anything else. If it doesn't, then the bulkhead is bad, and I'd replace it. This is a critical element to get right, as a slow leak can account for a tremendous amount of damage a.) to your house, and b.) to the stability of your tank. Fix it right the first time, and be glad you did for years to come.
