Leak in tank...help!

Hey folks look at what I just discovered in my tank. How would you recommend fixing this? Short term and long term.

It's a red sea reefer 350 a little over 2 years.

Can you get a 75 from petco or petsmart to hold sour stuff in until red sea sends a replacement....if it's under warranty.

That is not sustainable. As @MERKEY says, get plan B rolling asap. There is no telling how long that seam will hold. I am very sorry you are in this situation but I strongly encourage you get moving.

Send that pic to support at Red Sea along with the serial number of the tank AFTER you have secured the situation.

Suggest emptying the tank ASAP, Red Sea extended the warranty to three years on the tank, let us know how the warranty process goes!

OP you need to get your stuff to another tank asap. Brandon429 has threads on tank transfers.

We both agreed with you that this situation was NOT sustainable. Small leaks don't stay small. A new tank is required ASAP.

We are all on the same page. That seam could go at any moment and OP should remove livestock and water asap. THEN follow up with RS.

No. Seiously. Don’t post it there. Everyone is already mad and hysterical because of recent failures. Fill a claim on their webpage tech support instead. If you’re the first owner then they’ll replace it. Till that, transfer your livestock asap to another tank & make lots of pictures!

You may be able to put a clamp on it to buy a little time. It may slow down the leak and keep the entire panel from blowing out depending on where it is leaking from. This is not a long term solution so like others have said you need to get the live stock transferred and the tank drained asap.

Update. Had to evacuate fish to my emergency QT tank and rocks and corals to a brute bucket as the leak was getting worse. Red Sea did show up and will send me a replacement tank at the beginning of the year.
Question now, a local guy who does tank service recommended me to keep my sand wet in buckets and reuse it, as a way to not throw away all the good bacteria in it. That doesn't go with my belief, so I'm asking for opinions. There will be some serious die off regardless and that could cause issues. He's done many many tanks move a land stuff and always keeps the sand w/o issues.
What you guys think?
