Leak sensors to break out box.

A customer service rep told me to buy the leak sensors then cut the wires to connect to the break out box... is this true?

you can yes. i had one of these around so cut the wires off of it and used it.

honestly, you could tape to wires on the floor about an inch apart and it will do the same thing.

you could use orange tape if you are an apex fan boy

no need for orange wires, just trying to prevent water damage while renting. I appreciate the info a lot.

one thing, make sure you set up a minimum time off when the water sensor is activated. they are real sensitive and they will cause an on off on off on off on off.. in the span of about 2 seconds.

30 seconds would be enough.

You can buy rain sensors and water level sensors for about $8 on amazon. They work fine.
