Good evening R2R. So I've determined that the o-rings leading from my tank into my bean animal overflow are not sealing very well.

While my tank is a used system, I bought new couplings to replace the old ones when I moved the tank.

Originally, I bought the EPDM Gaskets on the following link, which seem to be the leaky ones. I've now ordered the Buna-N Gaskets to give those a try. Anyone familiar with either of these gasket/couplings to help make sure I get the right ones.

Once I get this very small, but annoying drip fixed, I can finally finish cycling my tank.

Thanks for your help and here is a link to where I got my gaskets from.

Where are you putting the o-rings with relation to the overflow and the couplings?

I’m using a total of 8 rings...there are two inside the overflow box leading to the bean animal that I can’t remove. Then I have two between the overflow box and the inside of the tank. On the back side of the tank I have two between the bean animal box and the tank, and then two inside the BA box and then the locking screw.

It basically goes, gasket, wall, gasket, wall, gasket, wall, gasket, screw....and the leaky one is between the back side of the tank and the BA box.

Also, going back to the one of my original questions...am I using the coupling?

So I removed the gaskets on the inside of the BA box and that seems to have done the trick...I’m sure another leave will start somewhere else soon though!

Once they are tight you shouldn’t develop any leaks there. You can pm me anytime and I’ll try to help best as I can. Good luck on the journey ahead.
