Hi everyone. I noticed a bit of salt creep on the underside of my tank
uploadfromtaptalk1424976800246.jpg
this was 4 days ago. I cleaned the area. This is what came back after 3 days. The tank is only a year old. Contacted the manufacture yesterday morning. Seemed like they were eager to help me. Took my info. Said they would email me contact info . Asked me to take pictures and send copy of original receipt. Was sent one hour before their closing yesterday. Heard nothing back from them yet. the workday is almost over today. I called and the said the guy i spoke with was in a meeting. Has anybody ever had a leak with a tank under warranty? Is this a normal response. Dont want to jump the gun and get aggravated. But i never had a tank leak befor let alone a reef tank. What does everyone think a reasonable response time should be. Just trying to get some input hear. Not trying to trash tank manufacturer. But talked to the store i got it from and the guy said he never had one of them leak so he cant be sure of how they handle things. He told me other manuf. Tanks had leaks and its kinda going like it is now

If the tank is on the manufacturer's stand, I've heard good things about them replacing the tank. If it's not the manufacturer's stand, I've heard just the opposite....they'll have nothing to do with you. Good luck.

The pain of it. Had a leak on my tank. Just the moving from one to another. Borrowing a tank just to hold live stock. Hope your tank switch is less troublesome.

Yea im dreading it. That is the worst part. My tank is packed with coral. Almost no room for anything else. Did you loose any livestock during transfer.

Yes, my tank was dripping worse each hour. Had to place all corals in another tank for almost 2 weeks for new tank to come in. Then new sand since tank was a few years old. The wait for new tank was reason i lost corals. Now I'm gun shy about every drop of water i see in sump area.

I feel like I'm getting the runaround from this company. I called 3 times today and have yet to talk to somebody about my problem

Well just received email from deep sea aquatics. They would like to replace tank but no longer deal with the place i bought it from. They told me to find another retailer to deal with. Their web site list like 20 retailers in the phila area within 100 miles. Checked all of them and none are in business or dont deal with them anymore. Yet their site still list them. So i think their saying i have to pay shipping charges. Which will be about the same as the tank. If i wanted to pay shipping charges i would have gone custom.
