But your problem is that overflow.....it's not draining properly. If I'm not mistake, that has two siphon tubes....are both tubes there? And running?

perhaps the sponge filters are clogged and not allowing proper draining? Ill check that next... The leaking seemed to have slowed down, its clean for now. I will know in about an hour if it is still leaking. thanks for the help guys.

I found where it was truly leaking from. It's not the seal ! Thankfully. Really didn't want to re silicone the black trim. We made our own tops with glass, and there is nothing keeping the moisture from getting in between the glass and black trim allowing it to slowly leak through the top. I need to put either a rubber lining on the edges or something. I have a paper towel there now to show you what/where I'm referring to. Any ideas?

I would try drying it, cleaning it, and putting electrical tape across the seam.

Screen top won't prevent evaporation. Since putting the glass tops.on versus my wooden top it originally had, the evaporation is practically gone. I'm loving it.

I most likely can, I don't believe the it's at the lowest setting. I should be able to do that. I will try. But I will for do the electrical tape as soon as I get back home. Looks better than a paper towell. Lol

The overflow box needs to be adjusted so the water level is low enough that the leaking stops.

Keep in mind that the water that's already up in the trim will continue seeping out for quite a while after the fix.

Thoroughly drying every crevice of the trim by hand will help, but probably not eliminate the leaking/salt creep for at least a few days.

But stop worrying about other things and focus on the overflow box and the water level.

(My tank did the same thing....I ended up having to drop the level of the box over an inch.)

Actually, all that said, if there's anything causing waves on the surface of the water, this raises the actual level of the tank to the peak of the waves....all it takes is that. So reducing waves could help a little too.

I for sure have to adjust the powerheads. they are creating a good amount of flow at the top of the water. The leaking has completely stopped. Thanks for the help everyone! Now to figure out if I should separate this rock from the rest.... has some green polyps, haven't done research but heard they are obnoxious.

That looks like a clove polyp, or similar. Maybe Green Briarium tho, if it's encrusting on a leathery "skin".

Either can be considered invasive, but they are also loved by some.....let your heart tell you if it's a pest or not. Export it (sooner than later) to someone who loves it if you don't.

It is possible to isolate those corals apart from your main rock structure too. They really won't tend to grow down, so once the top of an isolated rock is covered, they will just try to grow up and up. They can reach out an inch or so, but that part is easy to notice and then trim/frag.
