Leaning forward?

I just setup a new to me 55 gallon and it is leaning forward. Not level by 1/2 inch. Do you think moving the tank all the way back on the stand would help. As of right now it’s hanging over the front board quite a bit.

The 3rd pic is the back and the 4th pic is the front ( to show the boards underneath)
The 5th pic is showing how munch over the front board the tank is sitting. (The blue sticks show where the boards run)

Definitely need to get that closer to level!! Use leveling shims under the front of the stand. Leaning that much is asking for trouble

I’m WI, so no earthquakes. Would I put the shims under the front sides? Then wouldn’t the whole front board be off the ground? I was hoping moving it back so it’s more closer to being over the front board would help. Took forever to put it all together and fill it up. Hopefully I don’t have to drain the whole thing to put shins under it...

Dont put it right up against the wall, you dont want it sitting on the tack strip for the carpet.

Not to scare you but other things you may want to check:
With rock and everything that tank will probably weigh 650-750lbs, is the stand itself out of square?
Which way the floor joists run, ideally they should run perpendicular to the tank, parallel can cause sagging.

That doesn't look like a stand made for a tank. You can't expect partical board to hold its strength and integrity after it gets wet.

Yikes! Again. ^^^ looks like it may be a stereo type cabinet. Cabinet really needs to be level and supportive all the way across the front, back and ends to be safe. Could sag in the middle.

I think your asking for issues using this stand, all the support is on the sides & as stated Particle board is not good for tanks.

Hmm the tank has been in the stand for awhile. Without weight on it, it is super sturdy. I attempted to draw out the supports see picture (Looking down as if the table top was off, looking up from the bottom, and the table top measurements) Maybe that will make more sense that I might scoot it to the back in the stand? Also where would I put the shims?

I also posted on a freshwater site and am Extremely relieved that they were able to find the actual stand is for aquariums. . I’m going to try an maybe move it away from the wall and see if it was just the tac strip...

Hmmm moved it 4 inches from wall still not level. Going to move it back about 2-3 inches from wall (just so it’s past the tac strip) and get some shims. With this tank where would the shims go? The front corners only or also the front 47.5 board?

You should be able to feel the tack strip with your hand, just don't press down too hard, if it's a long carpet run it might have double tackstrip. Those usually stick out no more than 3in.

Success! Drained and put the plastic shims in the front corners a couple along the front board and one in the back right corner. Thanks everyone for you advice!
