Since Cincinnati is close to Kentucky and Indiana, I was going to suggest a road trip and stocking up. But it looks like Ohio has laws against doing that?

We always bought everything at The Party Source over in Newport. Much better selection and pricing than any of the stores on the west side of cincy.

Looked it up...Everclear is illegal to be sold in any form in Ohio. Come to Indiana, we don't impinge on your personal right to risk blindness and permanent brain damage.

$20 for 750ml that'll go more than 2.3 x as far as 80 proof.

Not to mention Indiana has drive thru liquor stores. I miss hitting up the drive thru liquor store on 50 on the way to perfect north.

I used to get 1.75 vodka for like $12 up there. That's about the cheapest.

I used to have run gfo with carbon dosing to keep phosphate in check. I don't know what your phosphate level but I found carbon didn't do anything for phosphate.

Several options for 1.75L < $10. Looks like this Kroger has quite the selection.

I called them, they have 80 proof vodkas, she wasn’t sure of all the brands but saw it on a bottle of Absolut. I’m sure the tank would appreciate the good stuff!

The phone number is for a Kroger Liquor Store and with it being listed on the OHLQ, maybe it’s an actual liquor store and separate from the Kroger grocery?

Always been curious, would 190 proof Everclear work? You'd have to adjust the dosage of course. The 190 proof version is illegal in some states though. I doubt there's any additives in it, nothing is listed.

Any drinkable ethanol is fine.

Not sure I'd say Everclear is drinkable exactly. ...but thanks for the confirmation. I couldn't see why it wouldn't be ok to use.

Krogers must have their own separate State Run Liquor Store away from Krogers general area. I mostly buy my vodka from a place called Jungle Jim's.

There are wall and doorway physical dividers with signage EVERYWHERE stating "NO GROCERIES BEYOND THIS POINT. ALL SALES A SEPARATE TRANSACTION FROM YOUR GROCERY PURCHASE"

There no way in heck Krogers would be selling 80proof among their general beer and wine section. They'd be breaking Ohio State law and would be shutdown the same day it was discovered
