my leather last week started dropping really bad and never popped back up. So tonight I moved the rock it was attacked to and seen 2 decent size Aiptasia and the stem of my leather is starting to rot and was dying. So I took it out and cut the dead mushy parts off and re attached with bands. Any chance of this surviving? It all shriveled up after moving, cutting and attaching to rock again so I know the top half is still alive. Is there anything I can do to help this thing survive? I attached a picture of it so you can see hat the fingers still look ok. Just worried about underneath it hoping no more rotting happens. :(

I would dip the coral in an Iodine dip if you continue to see dead tissue. It should come around but it might takes several days. It's odd that there were areas of rot to begin with, I doubt an Aiptasia would cause that.

The rot was inside and under right where the aiptasia were :( wish I would have seen them earlier
