What’s going on? I watched my hermit crabs nipping at these, did it damage it or is something else wrong? Other corals seem to be fine. Did a water change and tested things last night, everything falls in normal range except for alkalinity, it’s high, how do I bring that down and would it cause this?

Oh gosh I’m so thankful I have been watching and worried. I had a tank 15 years ago but never had a leather in that one. My last one was 90 gallons and I have missed the hobby. This is 32 gallon Biocube I’m shooting for more of a coral tank this go around.

I had mine for 3 years, never did anything just kinda was there. I stuck it in spare tank I have a clarkii keeping old rock live. 6 months ago it just took off. I haven't dosed, tested nothing. It will eventually get big and look amazing.
