Leather help

Can someone Id this leather I just picked up a new tank and it was with it and is there anything I need to do for this guy this is my first leather and why would it have that big white spot on it

I'm not really sure what that white spot is though. These corals tend to do best with both moderate lighting and flow IME. They don't like it when you fiddle with them either, so find a good spot and make sure it's secure. GL.

Thanks for the quick reply, this coral is attached to a large rock in the middle of the tank with some moderate flowit seems to be pretty happy where it is. it is about 7 inches across and I didn't want to screw up and kill my biggest piece
 
Hard to tell what the white spot is, looks kinda like a tear. It'll heal with time if that's the case. Also could be it's fragging itself. Don't know about this species but my only leather that I've had for a while is a green polyp toadstool and it was huge and under stress and it fragged itself into 10 pieces. Looked white like that where it was tearing itself from the main colony.
 
That could be it....it took about 12 hrs to move tank and to get it back in the tank so it is probably stressed
