Hi, my devils hand has been beautiful and thriving. Still is, but noticed it keeps getting white spots like its tearing from streatching so much. And now ive seen two different small "fingers" get greyish a start breakimg off. Heres a pic of one in process. Leathers a bit mad, just did a water change and touched him. As you can see in last pic, hes huge, from one end to other hes 16-18 inches. Could maybe he get poked from the foxface when he flares? My foxface and naoko love swimming through it.

This isn't necessarily bad. Many leathers reproduce by dropping branches. This is normal. If the white spots look rotten then it may be a bacterial infection. the best thing I have found is a lugol's dip or even applying full concentration lugol's over the infected spots.

I was hoping it was a dropping thing like a kenya tree at work. White spots look fine. Heres a pic of one, they remind me of a stretch mark in a way.

Is it possible it’s just shedding, also could it be bleaching? It could be either one is he growing down away from the light or towards its.
