My 16” Toadstool leather developed a couple hole in it over the last week or 2. Any help as to what is going on?

If I remember correctly, when they do this, they're dropping pieces to form new coral. This is their way of reproducing. Similar to how anemones split.

There’s a couple similar threads on this when I searched for hole in leather. Don’t have direct experience myself, but a few folks suggested it was fragging itself.

I read that as well. I’ve been in a battle with aptasia for the last 3 months in a 600 gallon display and was just looking for things to take my mind off of the aptasia.

You will see that it will look like its pulling its self apart. That's why I believe its splitting.
