my parameters are

mg 1260 a little low I think

I noticed that it closed up when my lights when to moon light mood. this is the first time it has closed since I got it 2 weeks ago. the picture doesn't show it's completely closed like it was. it looks like it opened up a little bit now.

Mine does this every couple of weeks or so. Closes up and a waxy coating forms, then peels off and it opens back up as good as new.
I believe that it’s a cycle that leathers go through with some regularity.

Okay I just find it weird that it has stayed open and molted and looked good afterwards. but it just closed up tonight for no reason.

Just checked on mine. One finger closed other open 3 devils hand closed mattalic toadstool closed regular toadstool open. Go figure .
It's normal. They go through phases. I had a sponge crab cut mine in half. I rubber-banded all three pieces he cut off to rock. The original leather as well as the cut off pieces were closed for almost a month. they are all now open and growing. Your's should open back up and be fine. If you changed the placement, lighting, or water flow it could be telling you it doesn't like the change. If this is the case see if it comes around, otherwise try to move it to the parameters it was in before the change.My coral has been open for 2 week then tonight it closed up completely.
