Hello

I have heard of the leather coral toxin talk many times, but I'm curious as to if anyone know of actual evidence that what they secret will inhibit the growth of corals in an aquarium setting. I have a decent sized finger leather and a small different leather but also have lps and non acro sps (and some mushrooms and zoas). I like my leather but I'm curious if it has had any effect on my other corals growing. Does anyone know of any study that shows their toxins slowing the growth of corals in a captive setting?

I can't directly answer your question about a study but I run carbon due to the amount of leathers, zoas, and palys I have. I do have trouble keeping some stonies. Acans in particular. I don't mess with Acros and other advanced sps.
