I personally take mine out. Dont want to chance the magnet rusting in the tank if saltwater were to ever get inside.

I take mine out every time.

Every time I have to change out the scraper blade that is, so maybe once a year?

I park mine in the back corner. Never notice it.

I leave mine in the tank, blade above the water line. It's in the back corner usually.

All the times under water.... hidden at a back corner and sometimes i throw in some pellets but he doesn’t eat it....
When he’s bored I take him for a walk around the tank.

I don't have a flipper but when I had my magnavore it was left in the tank, on the side, out of reach. I now have the tunze and will be doing the same thing. Main reason why is the tank is glass and the magnet is strong. The way I see it why take the chance of it slipping and breaking the glass.

Never leave mine in. Had a couple of spirobid worms attach to the pad and didn't notice it. Put a couple of scratches in my tank before I noticed them. It's a pain to take it out and dry it each time but I will always do it after that experience.

I did a poll thread on a different popular forum on this question and the results showed that the majority of users just left it in the tank. I leave mine in but I always do a visual inspection and also feel with my fingers in case anything gets on the felt or razor

I keep mine in. Didn’t even think about the metal blade. @HotRocks we probably should poke the blade out of the water when not in use.

I have always left mine in. Never thought about magnets rusting though. Good point!
