I'm 66 and I'm going from freshwater to salt I'm a disabled/retired veteran I do my ro water in 3 gallon containers and dump them into 5 gal containers. I do my water changes (65 gal tank ) with a pump 5 gallons at time. Sorry to see you go and yes I have major back problems as well. Can't stand still anymore, can't sit in a desk chair and have to use a foam piece in my recliner. If you love the hobby keep on trucking. Go to a smaller tank if need be

I'm a lot younger at 62 (funny) and I am thinking about something small. I went from African Cichlid tank to SW 10yrs ago myself. Had one back surgery already years ago and looks like the problem is back. Other than that, I'm good to go.

Even though I am younger I've had back problems as well. I worried about this before getting into the hobby. It is why I semi automated the water changes. All I have to do is flip a switch to drain my sump and then another switch to refill it. Can't imagine doing this manually.

I use an Apex with DOS pumps for my water changes. I just have to turn some valves for my RO to fill the reservoirs, then add salt until 1.0264. Another option would be a dual head Stenner or Masterflex pump.
