I have a 48 long 55g tank with center support to light up. I have been looking at the Kessil a360we x2 or waiting on the a360x. I have read a lot of mixed reviews that swear by the Kessils to others that say they are more for looks and not necessarily the best light choice.
The things I would like to have are LED's, adjust the light output for times of day,on/off timer, I would prefer not to hang from ceiling but I will if necessary, and last but not necessarily very important would be wifi ability.

Still, either are a great choice. Really depends on your budget. Kessil or Radion aren't cheap, but would save your from an upgrade later down the road.

I am all about saving me down the road. i am going to make the tank slightly bigger eventually and would prefer to just add a light or 2 instead of getting all new stuff.

Right now I am just doing softies, fish, and inverts and one nem in that mix. That could change to add in lps at some point.
Have you considered one AP70o for now?

You'd have to mount it high off the water line, but it's the best Kessil that I've ever pushed.

You could always and another down the road, if need be.

The center support is too wide and would block out light. I believe I'll need two lights to get past that. I have thought about trying to remove that stuff and creating corner supports if it's even possible.

I have a 55 gallon mixed reef, same dimensions as yours, and use 2 Kessil a360we’s. Everyone seems happy [emoji2] I plan on upgrading to a Red Sea Reefer 525XL in a year or so, and will have to get a 3rd.
