I’m trying to Change the Light only my 55 gallon tank so that it can have SPS corals. My last experience with T5s was excellent yet expensive over a span of 6 months. What LED fixture would you recommend and how many of it?

2 red sea 90s would be dope. Thats what i want to upgrade to after i set the 75 up

But if its just softies you could probably do jusy fine with a fluval marine led

Yes and no. Yes it might work. Chances are, you won’t get half the growth and colors as you would get with good lights. I recommend two hydra 26’s. Yes that’s $600 but that’s well worth it. Never skimp on lights, skimmers, and dosing pumps. $600 for two fixtures is rather cheap. Two xr30’s would run you 1,600. You won’t regret the expense for the hydras.
Found this on amazon. If I daisy chained Two Of these would I be set?

Buy used, or black box LEDs. Look up vipraspectra and mars aqua. The 300w versions are around 200, with 165w around 100-140. You'd need at least 2 165w, but would have better coverage than the single 300w
