Led fixture for LED/T5 hybrid

Hi!

I’m looking for opinions on what to replace my maxspect razor 15k 160w with in my diy hybrid fixture that I have over my reefer 350.

Here’s what we’re working with (Don’t worry, I’ll replace the reflectors with individual ones when I have the time )

As you can see on the last picture the maxspect doesn’t cover the whole of the tank and the edges of the tank are fairly dim.

One thing to take in to consideration is that I’m not looking to spend a huge amount since I’m not overly impressed with LED, I just need it for the reduced heat.

Ideally I would like to get away from fixtures with led clusters and go for something with a more even spread.

I’ve been looking at 2x orphek LED bars or perhaps 2x50cm of the 2019 DSunY led

Any opinions on these two options or are there better options given the above parameters?

Evening. I see what you mean with the light. I just was not exactly sure what you were looking for. I am with you, I have 2 AI 52 hd and not impressed. ATI has a nice hybrid where I can take my AI’s and put then into the fixture with their brackets. They have brackets for popular LEDs.

I might have been a bit unclear. I’ve already built the hybrid fixture in the pictures above. Mostly looking for options on a new led fixture to compliment it [emoji1]

What are the measurements of the led slot?

hydra 26's are what I use very programable and I get great coverage on my 90 with 4x t5's and 2x hydras

So far I am thoroughly impressed with the spread and power of the orphek v4 that I have, I've taken it apart and the thing is well designed. I am sure that the bars would work well for you too. What color were you going to get?

Reef Bright strips. I know several SPS growers that use them exclusively on their tanks because they get the coverage and distributed light of tubes with the efficiency of LEDs. I honestly don't know why we don't see more distributed LED type fixtures for reefing because they are the norm for conventional lighting.

It just so happened that my wife’s sister company will be visiting their Chinese office by the end of this month and will be bringing home 3x noopsyche pro’s for me.
I’m just hoping I can get passed that horrible looking controller thing they’ve got going on.
