Ok so I've been on eBay looking at the led Chinese stars. Just wanna know how DIY led strip lighting is working for somebody? My plans are this 4-48" u-c frames and aluminum solder them together, next I'll mark with marker my spots and drill so only lens shows on flat part of heatsink. Then I'll cut 3" 18 gauge wire sections and begin to put LEDs down on thermal paste. Run the 3 drivers to each separate power source 2 for 20 3 watt royal blue, one for the ten white 3 watt LEDs and the last one is for the two 12 volt fans or possibly hook fans up to the Royal Blues, save a power box and (plug). Cost include 3 times 12$ for DIY heatsink, 20$ for lights, 2-3 drivers so 18$-26$. I have the power sources already from other things that are perfect and the fans. Plus all the tools I need. Do you recommend building or buying from eBay.
