What type of led will do good for a 120 gallon that is 60"x18"x29"? I don't want something that will break the bank but I want something that will grow lps and softies. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Personally for a cheap LED I would go with the reefbreeders superlux (new updated version of their value fixture). I have read a lot that the white 10-12k cheaper LEDs give off almost no useable light for corals. You can see in the reefbreeders that they use 4600k whites. I've used these fixtures and gotten great growth and much better colors than on other cheap black box LEDs. You would probably need 3 of these fixtures for a 60" long tank.

Thank yall! I just want to make sure I'll have good growth. When I had my 75 I had a fluval 2.0 and also fed reef roids and a coral I had for 2 years never grew under my 4 bulb t5 until I put the fluval 2.0 on without the t5 and it went from having 5 heads to 15 heads in 2 and half weeks time

I have a rapid led onyx fixtures along with some t5's and they grow sps just fine, I think they are around 300$ a piece.
Personally I would like these lights but I've heard they over heat alot. What is your take on this? Honesty I am not a big fan of SPS corals. The only ones I like would be the monticap corals. I really just want to grow lps and softies.

The fans on them did go out, so what you heard is probably accurate, so I just put a fan blowing on them in my canopy and they have been fine since

I would look for used ecotech radions or AI hydra 52's. It will grow what you want and if by chance you change your mind down the road and want to try anything you will be covered.
