Hey everyone, I am setting up a 30x30x24 inch fish tank and was wondering what affordable LEDs would work for this tank. I want something that's controllable. Thanks! :)

Check out Reefbreeders.....quality lights at very reasonable cost.

+1 on reef breeders....

Reef breeders are nice. I'm running reef radiance lights which are largely the same thing. When I bought mine they were cheaper than the reef breeders. The photon series are cool though because it's one big fixture for the whole tank where I have two separate ones. It comes down to preference really.

When yo usay controllable, are you referring to a dimmer or of full control using a programmable device?

I want lights that can slowly get brighter and then dim down. Like a dawn to dusk effect. And what reef breeders led would work for a 93 cube?

hes looking for a sun rise sun set guys.. plenty out there. just get 120 optics with it

Reef radiance seemed to have the best bang for your buck, and controllability seems to be very well. You can adjust intensity every 10 minutes or up to 144 times. I have yet to receive mine but am looking forward to it in the next week or so.

LED's is one department you don't want to go cheap on. The investment will pay for itself, and there's many lights out there that have a good track record and plenty of controllability. Other thing you need to think about when it comes to LED's is costumer service, you never know when you gonna need some help. I will save my money and go with a single Radion with their new wide lenses that cover a 30 x 30 area per light. Any of the Radions will work for your tank, I believe you can find the G2s for 550 online and even cheaper use, actually there's a guy I this forum selling two for 800 and willing to sell them separate for 400, can't beat that! Just my two cents, good luck!

Reef breeders are the best bang in you are right on money.I love my fixture. I've never heard of dimming harming corals? For periods of time yes.

I vote for the Reef Radiance lumentec pro. They have different sizes and fully programmable.

MAXSPECT 160 WATT 27" UNIT with 120 degree reflectors would be perfect for your tank, for $500 you cant go wrong. Fully programmable in terms of dawn till dusk effect, and pretty as all hell.
