Led illumination with reef-pi controller

White is the DIM to the + PWM..looks like you grounded it..or you got the ground (black) on the PWM

either way..looks like you put 2 wires together..though I can't really tell

All I know is if the LED ps and the reef pi power supply negative need to be connected..

then the negative is connected by itself same thing also the dimming alone must I connect the positive together with the dimming?

no..if I understand you correctly.. sorry..

just like this..Dim - is just the GROUND plain of the power supplies.
where that is is irrelevant..
Ignore the fact its labeled dim - below.

I followed this scheme but I can't dim the power LEDs

I don't know what to say.. should work.. Maybe a software thing or a bad driver.
you said another type worked.
What was it?

Figaro, which version of reef-pi are u using?
What frequency is the pca9685 set to?
Are you reading anything at the pca outputs? With a voltmeter, it should change as you increase pwm duty cycle because a voltmeter will average the pwm signal.

if you were a driver of another brand if it was the broken driver I think it wouldn't work

version 2.0 and if I'm not mistaken the PC is set to 1500

Ok the meanwell pwm input specification is the signal should be from 100hz to 1000hz max, so set the frequency to 200hz and try that

I just saw this error in the reef-pi database
Failed to initialize pca9685 driver. Error:remote I/O error

Can you send a closeup picture of your PCA9685, pi and power wiring??
You have 2 second PCA9685 to test it??
