I’m look for a new light for my 16 gallon reef. I mostly have favites, favia, blasts, zoas, and leptos. What would be a good light but not brake the bank.

You could do

reefbrites
red sea reef led 50
AI prime 16hd
Kessil 160we (or 2 a80s)
An SB Reeflight
Or there are some cheaper ones that are not "brand name" such as the aquaknight (x2) or two of the nicrew 30w or 50w.

A lot depends on how you want to mount it or hang it.

Seems like your tank is quite shallow, you should be able to get away with an economic option, especially for the corals you are keeping. Also highly recommend you do some supplimental feeding to help boost their growth and overall health.

The most *not* "break the bank" option would be something like a Viparspectra or Marsaqua.

Since the tank is only 12" deep and LPS and Zoa only, I actually really like this suggestion below
Kessil ... 2 a80s

A single Noopsyche K7 would be a good option, and at about 150 bucks.

Non-LED option would be the cheapest 2 foot long 2 bulb T5 unit you could find, and just run 2 Blue+ bulbs.

Edit: 2 foot long

I had a LED current orbit I think it is called on it but it was used and stop working so I put a 4 bulb t5 light I had from a different tank on it but only used 2 bulbs and got new blue plus bulbs and the corals don’t seem to like it. They are closing up more each day which is why I’m think I should go back to LED since that’s what they had before. I know some of the water levels off to so I’m going to get them all right and see if that helps before I change the light. I just wanted to get an idea of what I’m look at for a light if that’s what I have to do.

It's considerably stronger (better?) than the Current light. I would raise the fixture way up high, then lower slowly over a few weeks to acclimate the corals to the light.
