Hello all, after a 20 year hiatus I'm getting another aquarium. First one (90 gallon) had a few triggers, lion, eel, etc. I'm weighing costs between filtration and lighting. The tank will have a refugium with live rock, a protein skimmer and UV.

I want a LED system that can cover the tank (30" deep) and provide great color, fish and environmental health, and programmability. I was going to go with a Current USA pro 72" and was told it won't provide enough light. I don't want cheap Chinese or loud fans, the lights will be in a custom hood. I'm trying to do this for $1000.

Any suggestions?

Well the Radion G3 Pros would definitely be strong enough (along with providing programmability, color, etc.) for a deep tank but you would unfortunately be well over $1000 to cover a 240. I am not sure a light exists that isn't a "cheap Chinese" unit but would stay under $1000 and cover a 240....I could be wrong though.

The Radions would be the ultimate but I think 3 of them would probably be necessary, right? And close to 2k?

I should probably clarify this will be another predator tank. no soft corals.
