I bought my Red Sea 130 used. I’m about to start cycling, so I know I don’t need the lights for a bit. But I don’t fully understand what the different colors mean and where I should start them level wise. After my tank cycles I am planning on putting in a clean up crew of pods, snails, and shrimp. Then a couple of clowns and some soft corals. Eventually maybe an anemone and sps corals if things go well for 6 months.

The previous owner upgraded the lights. They say they are rapid led brand.

Thank you.

Welcome to Reef 2 Reef

I used to run an ole Red Sea 130.
It is either an Rapid or an Steve's led mod.

After your cycle, I'd try to work up 80% on the blue and 30% on the white.
I'm not an much of an colors guy and they could lead into algae.... JMO ;Wacky

Again:
Welcome to the Reef 2 Reef, family :)

Yeah, don't worry too much about other colors. Just know that you should have your blues up higher than your whites, 20-30% higher than your whites I'd say. Maybe higher. So set your whites to 40% and your blues between 60-70%. If this leads to algae growth you can always dial back both spectrums. Definitely do not add a cleanup crew first, unless it's a very small number of invertebrates and their is sufficient algae growth to support them. Or unless you plan to feed them algae pellets or something else like that. Most of the time, people add fish first and wait several months for the tank to stabilize and mature and get algae growth before adding a cleanup crew. Something to think about.
