I bought a cheap Led light on Amzon http://amzn.to/1mTpXkS , and I want to test its properties compare with professional aquarium light.

I love it actually. The only issue for me is I have a 30" tank, so par on my bed is around 50. I supplemented with a T5 set up and already see results. This would be great for a 40b IMO, especially if you have an Apex!

I have a 36" AquaticLife XS series LEDs for my DT and I have a Radion XR30W G.2, soon to be G.3 if they ever get the kits back in stock:mad: I love the controllability of the LEDs, the Radions are more difficult to program. Still haven't got the hang of the Ecosmart admin.

I think best quality for the buck .....you can customize the light....the will install your choice of colors (LED's) and optics. Comes with wired controller or WiFi.
