LED Lighting System- Cannot find any information on how long the light should be set for and at what intensity. Every article is very vague. Should i start out with 10% to 75% then back down to 0%. Blue lights and White lights setting % and for how long? very confused ! HELP. Fish, corals and live rock. 220 gal

I've just got brightness adjustable LEDs, mine run 8 hours a day, at 80% Blue and 60% White.

My tank isn't near the size of yours but my light schedule is as follows

TP1 08:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%
TP2 09:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP3 11:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP4 18:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP5 20:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP6 22:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%

Starting out though I would start at about 30-35% and gradually increase the intensity until your corals seem to look their best. It took me about 2 months or so of gradual increases til I got to where I am.

Huge difference in lights not to mention some fixtures have more "Grow" LEDs than others.

A PAR Meter is a must when changing lights.

Most quality LED Fixtures at Max are the rough equivalent to a 250 watt MH. A few are the 400 Watt equivalent using only 160 watts.

More light is better than just enough, but too much too soon will shock the corals.
