LED Lighting fixture placement

So today I got a fluval sea LED light strip it's 24 inches and I have it over a 10 gallon which is 20 inches across and some new coral in it have do button polyps and a Kenya tree (I am brand new to coral). I'm wondering if I should place the fixture horizontally over the tank like normal or maybe diagonally across the tank instead or does it not matter.

I would think length wise. Which ever way that gives you the most light in your tank.
