I was wondering what LED's everyone suggests for a mainly LPS tank with some soft corals, the only SPS I have is an encrusting montipora and I don't plan on doing any SPS. I'm upgrading to a 120 gallon tank soon. I want the light to look good and obviously provide the corals with good growth. I was wondering if anyone suggests the orbit marine pro LED fixture?

The Orbit Pro should be fine. You'd want a Dual kit.

Mounting them on their legs, on the tank rim would be fine?

You could start with one lighting the front half of the tank, but you'll definitely need two to light the whole tank properly.

You might contact that dealer* or CurrentUSA directly and ask either one of them (or both) in detail about how you add another light later.

*@SaltwaterAq is a user (and I think sponspor) here on R2R, so call them or message them here. :)

Wow....$485 (on sale) including shipping for the 48" DUAL. Perfect.

I am setting up a 120-softies, LPS-and I bought two of the new Current IC LED strips. Have not set up yet.

Current sez one should do it for LPS and softies.

Two is the recommendation for SPS and clams.

Congrats on the upgrade! :)

Photos when you get them setup!!!!

I know my LFS and I saw the Current rep in the store. My understanding/expectation/hope is that 2 x 48-60 should support LPS, certain clams and all softies. I will also have bubble corals, modern coral, etc.
I was impressed by the unit and the free pumps.

I am very impressed! Everything is doing well and tho not in the pic I am posting, all of my leathers, mushrooms and ritteri nem have been in for a week or so. The ritteri was on the bottom for a few days and no prob at all. I am going to try and place everything today and if so, will post another pic.
