I am trying to decide on LED lighting for a fish only tank.
For a tank that is five feet long and 27" front to back.
I want it to be bright enough to see inside the tank and fully appreciate the fish. Obviously not to be reef capable, but I don't want it to be dim.
Do not try to convince me not to use LEDs. I don't want to change bulbs. I just want to set them up with controller and forget.
I was thinking x3 AI Nanos over this tank. So one for every 1.5 feet or so. Will that be enough? No terrible dark spots?
Also what about 3 of these? --> Aquarium Coral Reef Tank White Blue LED Grow Light 120W US fast shipping | eBay I would never think to use something like this for a reef. But if they are bright enough (visibility-wise, not PAR) I wonder if they would work.
Please share your advice and opinions.
Thanks.
