LED Lighting Help

Good idea there is no reason that shouldn't work the way you had it so try a different timer good luck

YEa, if the thing is getting bad reviews, and you've downed 2 of them, I'd say they are kinda crummy then. Gotta be another out there that'll work.

would something like this work having the power source separate from the circuit? I don't think anywhere local sells them so I'm ordering online..

Actually no it doesn't because that would be putting 12v + down your switch negative line.

Yeah that's what I was wondering. Can't seem to find any others. Haha I thought I would be able to go to Home Depot and find something but nope.. I'll keep looking

You have one positive feed that is common across all of your led's blue and white share the same positive but they have one negative return for the whites and one negative return for the blues it is those negatives that you are attempting to switch so you need a timer that has a supply that is separate to the switching circuit

SUCCESS! I had one of the original timers I'd been trying and instead of wiring it into my fans, I gave it it's own power source (wall block).. And that did it.. Thanks for all your help.. It was just something stupid I should have tried. :)

Well done mate your light is done and you learnt something in the process all round success then :)
