Another newby<img src="https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/images/smilies/cutemoticons/cutemoticons/tongue.png" border="0" alt="" title="Tongue" smilieid="387" class="inlineimg">&nbsp;been doing a lot of reading on led lighting, dont under stand what they mean<br>about degree of lighting and why would i need to know. pls make me under stand<img src="https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/images/smilies/cutemoticons/cutemoticons/squigglemouth.png" border="0" alt="" title="Squigglemouth" smilieid="386" class="inlineimg">
 
Leds are more economical to use. They provide the correct spectrum of lighting for growing corals. They omit less heat. They last alot longer saving cost of replacing bulbs. Read some of the threads on this site and you will learn more info on leds than i can provide.
