Has anyone used LED strips that you can purchase off of amazon for 20bucks as aquarium lighting?

This is a link to an example of what i am talking about.

SUPERNIGHT 16.4ft 5M Waterproof Flexible strip 300leds Color Changing RGB SMD5050 LED Light Strip Kit RGB 5M +44Key Remote+12V 5A Power Supply

They don't contain enough wattage to be run on anything but a fish only tank. I've had them set up, and even threw on some optics to try and get more light into the tank with them, didn't help much. But, fish only tank, and your good to go.

Not enough power and spectrum to work. Sorry.

Buy some reef radiance 155e lights affordable and work great. Not as cheap as that roll of LEDs but affordable.
