Okay so I'm pretty new to all this! So I'm setting up a new tank it's a 29 gallon. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some good led lights sets for me to check out.
I was looking at this one but from what I'm reading is that it's really not good for corals that will be on the sand bed.
Current USA Orbit Marine Aquarium LED Light, 24 to 36-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GFTNG3S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_RGXIxbR0GTFN7

If anyone has any recommendations for me that would be great. Not really wanting to spend over $200

The newer orbit marine pro is pretty good. But get the ones with the lenses. The old model won't penetratit or you'll nee two.
The blue on them is outstanding IMO.
But it's all about the budget as far as reccomends go.
I cut the canopy and put ai sol in the hood. I hate seeing the lights.
I also left my orbit in the canopy with the sol cuz it looks great
You could do the same with cheap Mars Aqua SBreeflights or kessels and Radions really.
I would try to get a the widest array you can for the best coverage and to avoid shading.
The OR is a good reccomend.
I actually pulled most of the lenses on my sol to increase the spread. Gives it a more t5 feel and look.

Can you post pictures of your canopy and how you did it? And when you say widest array you mean like the longer light ? In pretty new to this only salt water tank I have had is a a fluval 5 g nano

I possible can y'all post links to your suggestions please, some things I can't find just buy typing in. I will be using the led lights with this tank with the canopy if I can find some to put in it, if not I won't use the canopy

Yes exactly. I'm personally not a fan of the single kessel or spotlight look. I like a wide array of LED to get better coverage. Like t5 or metal halide.

Hey Zoa can you tell us how high you have your lights set over your water line and what intensity your channel 1 whites are set to /channel 2 blues set to? I have a OR over a IM Nuvo 20 and still playing with that.

If you have any DIY urges, that tank is a perfect candidate for an easy one.

I've built and used a few of these at this point - for the price it's hard to beat them. And it required minimals skills or effort. No soldering.

There are some tips I can give you to make it even easier, but PM me or let me know if you want more detail. ;)

Look at the Orbit Marine Pro if you want to do corals.

In theory you can use the ligtht you linked, but you'd need at least two of them over your tank....the Orbit Pro does it with fewer fixtures. One, in your case. :)
(The Orbit Pro is actually sorta similar to the light you get with the DIY I linked....just with fancier LED's and a nicer timer/dimmer system.)
