Does anyone have any experience with the current USA or fluval sea led lights? These are the two options that are most readily available in my area. I’m also interested in the kessil a80s but haven’t seen them at my local fish stores. My tank is a 20 long and I’m interested in keeping some beginner corals. Budget for lights is $200 and I’m in no rush. Any advice or other suggestions will be appreciated.

I have the Fluval sea lights that I bought as backups. Compared to my regular LEDs, they’re ugly and yellow looking. I’m not sure if the color of them is just dreadful or if my Radions are just that good, but they definitely aren’t what I expected when I bought them. That being said, if you don’t have other lights to compare them to, they are probably ok. As for growing coral, I can’t say. My best guess is you could keep some softies under them. I would recommend finding a t5 fixture and putting in the bulbs you want. Sometimes, Bulk Reef Supply has good stuff on their sale page.

Viparspectra or marsaqua will work for any coral and would be your cheapest option
