They have a led light I once had that connects to your fuge like a magnet like the one that cleans the glass and works prity well I'll get a link or the name

Hello _Alex_,

We've had a lot of customers who have been using LED's to light their fuge. If you can find something in the 6500k color range, it would be ideal, but many have used the 10,000k with no negative effect. The most popular LED lights for refugiums right now are the Innovative Marine Skkye Light Utility LED, the Innovative Marine Skkye Light Single Strip LED Fixture, and the JBJ Nano-Glo 4-LED Refugium Light. I hope this helps.

I've got a driver on order for my new DIY fuge light, which will consist of six Cree XM-L T6 in neutral white ran at 2.3A, so about 800 lumens apiece. Should grow macros much better than the 23w 700 lumen CFL I've got on it now. :)

I've got the 15w 5000k par38 I bought at Home Depot, works AMAZING over my fuge, the chaeto grows a nice lime green color and I trim it once a week or two. I think I paid $36 and it was a direct replacement for the cfl flood I was using before. 3 year warranty as well, and comes in a nice clean white coated finish.

thanks everyone! i was thinking of trying to build one or looking at LEDtric's refuge par 38 lights...
